Logo Design Brief – Control Systems Integration (CSI)
About Us
Control Systems Integration (CSI) is a Texas-based industrial electrical contracting firm specializing in power distribution, automation, and controls for large-scale commercial and industrial facilities.
We’re known by our customers simply as “CSI”, and that’s the identity we want to lead with. Our company has built its reputation on precision, reliability, and innovation, and we want our visual identity to reflect that strength and professionalism.
Project Goal
We’re looking to modernize and refresh our current logo while keeping the recognizable spirit of our brand. The new design should place strong emphasis on “CSI” as the primary brand element, with the full name “Control Systems Integration” either secondary or optional in the layout.
This logo will be used across vehicles, uniforms, hard hats, signage, business cards, marketing materials, and digital platforms, so it must be clean, scalable, and instantly recognizable.
Design Direction
We want a bold, modern, and professional look — something that feels strong, confident, and technical without being overly complex.
Our work is hands-on, industrial, and high-tech, so the logo should convey a sense of power, precision, and reliability.
Key Design Goals:
Emphasize CSI as the central focus.
Maintain the red, white, and blue color palette (variations are okay as long as they feel cohesive).
Clean and easy to reproduce across print, embroidery, and digital.
Strong, balanced typography (no overly thin or overly stylized fonts).
Works well in both full color and one-color versions.
Optional Design Elements:
We’d like to explore two directions:
Texas-Inspired Options:
Incorporate subtle references to Texas (e.g., state outline, lone star, or flag influence) — but avoid clichés or anything that feels too busy.
Non-Texas / Clean Modern Options:
Focus purely on the “CSI” initials with clean lines, geometry, or power-related symbolism (electric arc, bolt, flow, or circuit concept).
What to Avoid
Overly busy designs or too many small details that won’t scale.
Clip-art style icons or generic electrical bolts.
Thin fonts that disappear when embroidered or printed small.
Gradients or shadows that won’t translate well in vinyl or stitch work.
Deliverables
Full-color logo (horizontal and stacked versions preferred).
One-color and grayscale versions.
Vector files (AI, EPS, or SVG) + high-resolution PNG/JPG.
Font names and color codes (Pantone or RGB/CMYK).
