Logo Design Brief

I'm a Democrat running in a primarily Republican district. I need a logo that is patriotic but unifying. I keep thinking maybe a torch with stars around it in a circular fashion. its also a agricultural area so maybe there could be something like a bundle of wheat somewhere. if it doesn't make it to busy. I'm thinking maybe pot the text right down the center. I'm also very open to ideas.
