Logo Design Brief
I need a professional, modern, and approachable logo for my personal business, Second Set Projects. We provide boutique project management and organization services for both residential and small commercial clients.
The business name is inspired by volleyball — in the game, the “second set” is when the setter positions the ball perfectly for the hitter to score. That’s how I approach my work: I bring all the players (stakeholders) together, set the plan, and ensure everything is positioned for a successful outcome.
Our services range from managing full build-outs (homes, guest houses, garages, offices, etc) to smaller projects like decluttering and organizing a single room. My role is to provide structure, accountability, and clear communication while keeping things approachable and easy for clients.
Design Goals:
Style: Clean, modern, and professional with a subtle nod to precision, teamwork, and flow (volleyball influence can be abstract, not literal).
Tone: Trustworthy, approachable, and organized.
Usage: Will be used on my website, business cards, proposals, and email signature.
Colors: Open to designer suggestions, but lI do love royal blue.
Typography: Clear and easy to read; should look sharp in both large and small formats. As well look good printed on black or white backgrounds. I would also like the logo to have no background to easily be copied to any colored background.
The final logo should communicate that Second Set Projects is the calm, capable partner who gets the job done — on time, on budget, and with precision.

Went on vacation/holiday
In my original brief, I mentioned there is a volleyball connection to the name of my company. To clarify — this is only in the name, not in what the company does. Please do not include volleyball imagery such as balls, nets, hands, or related sports elements in the design.
This is a project management company, and the logo should reflect qualities like:
Organization and structure
Clarity and accountability
Managing multiple stakeholders and project flow
Constant communication
Peace of mind for clients who trust us to complete big tasks
Colors:
I’m not yet 100% sure what I want. I do like gold, tan, navy blue, and royal blue. I’m open to seeing them together or separately, and I’ll know the right direction when I see it.
Deliverables:
The logo should be provided in formats that work on:
A white background
A black background
A navy blue background
I’ll admit I don’t have strong design knowledge to fully explain what I need. What I do know is that when I see the right design, it will feel like the perfect fit. I’m excited to see your creative interpretations.
