Book Cover Design Brief
Book cover for a 6 x 9 inch paperback novel and ebook. The book will be published through Amazon KDP and should follow those requirements, especially a minimum of 300 dpi on imagery and a white rectangular block for an ISBN barcode on the lower back cover.
Fonts and Text: I have uploaded a picture of the prior book's cover, Singularity Point, for reference. I would like the same fonts, sizes, and colors used for the titles , subtitles, author's name, and back cover text. The cover shown was done right here at Design Crowd by KPGS82. The title of this book is Beyond Centauri, and the spine should have the number 2 instead of the number 1 depicted on the original cover. This book, likewise, will have the subtitle Concordium II.
Artwork: Looking for retro 70's style sci-fi artwork in the style of the old greats like Bob Layzell, Pete Elson, Chris Moore, Melvyn, and so on. Several images have been uploaded to give designers an idea of what I'm looking for. However, those images are copyrighted and cannot be used themselves. A good part of the story takes place on an Earth-like planet in the Alpha Centauri binary star system. Artwork should focus more on starships and landscapes / space backgrounds rather than people and creatures.
