Logo Design Brief

I am looking for a clean, masculine, modern logo that fits into the heavy machinery industry. I do NOT want the logo to include a gear or a piece of machinery. I need the logo to be translatable to different medium such as machinery decals, wall art, tv screen, magazines, clothing. I like black, red, maroon and silver/grey and white. I attaching a sample of our current logo.
