Logo Design Brief

I need a color palette and a logo for a senior living home. The home has a historic building on the property that they want to feature as part of the logo. I'm open to ideas and have a couple ideas we tried but did not like very well. We would like to incorporate something iconic - the roofline, window, or something to represent the building. A vintage with modern twist would be nice.
