Logo Design Brief

We'd like both a band logo:
¡YF!
and a matching or complimentary design for the full band name:
¡Yucatán Firepower!

Hoping for something simple, unique and memorable that fits the band's sound which, in our minds, is a blend of '70s Power Pop (i.e., Cheap Trick, Big Star) and song-driven garage or "college" rock (i.e., Replacements, Pavement, Pixies, etc.).

Something as iconic as the "Black Flag" logo (attached below) would be amazing, but even something like the attached Buzzcocks logo works.

We want to avoid a logo that incorporates any overused "rock" band motifs, i.e., skulls, hearts, bones, flowers, guns, guitars, bottles of boozed, etc. For example, we don't like the attached Bon Jovi or Guns N' Roses art.
