I'd like to create a unique logo for my new consulting company, Kintsugi Consulting. The company's name is based on Kintsugi, which is the Japanese artform. Poetically translated to “golden joinery,” kintsugi, is the centuries-old Japanese art of fixing broken pottery. Rather than rejoin ceramic pieces with a camouflaged adhesive, the kintsugi technique employs a special lacquer dusted with powdered gold. I would like the logo to be derivative of Kintsugi. Something symbolic, semi-abstract and not too literal (e.g., I don't want a bowl with cracks in it). Requirements
Must have
- Kintsugi Consulting name; contemporary design; represent the art of Kintsugi abstractly, clean and professional design
Nice to have
- I would like for the art of Kintsugi (which is using gold to mend broken pottery) represented in some way in the logo--more abstract and less literal (so not a pot with cracks). Potentially something that uses gold to represent the cracks, but not overly literal.
Should not have
- I do know want a logo that includes a piece of pottery with cracks in it.
