Create a 4 colour identity for the Alberta Intercollegiate Sales and Marketing Competition.
This competition, inspired by similar successful events at U.S. schools, offers students valuable experience in case analysis and sales pitching in front of a panel of industry professionals. It also provides an excellent opportunity for sponsors to recruit top sales and marketing talent from post-secondary institutions across Alberta.
In addition to the rich learning experience, students will compete for substantial cash prizes: $3,000 for 1st place, $1,500 for 2nd place, and $500 for 3rd place—awarded each day of the competition.
The province of Alberta has a particularly graphic shape, might be nice to include that shape as a dominant element in the identity. Having said that, the name is very long and unattractive, so at this point I don't care if the logo is a wordmark, lettermark, abstract,
The identity has the following requirements:
Must include year (obviously this will change the identity somewhat)
Ideally, it would include a graphic device that represents the province of Alberta
Want a contemporary, exciting design - not staid or conservative
Should convey action, as teams present to industry judges
