Logo Design Brief
More than seventy years ago, a small group African Americans founded three beachfront communities in the Village of Sag Harbor, NY: Azurest, Sag Harbor Hills and Ninevah Beach. To the predominantly African American families, these neighborhoods offered respite from NYC with a close, familial relationship of the residents and access to peaceful Sag Harbor Bay. NY State and the National Register of Historic Places commemorate these communities and their significant place in American history. These three communities combined will be honored and established as “HBBC Historically Black Beachfront Communities Overlay District” or “HBBC Overlay District” to conserve the communities’ essential characteristics. We need a logo for the HBBC to recognize this honor.

Requirements
Must have
- The logo must focus on the HBBC area name. Consider adding the neighborhood names: Azurest, Sag Harbor Hills, Nineveh Beah in the logo if possible; or adding Historical Black Beachfront Communities.
Nice to have
- Each community has its own logo (see reference) Azurest: Man in a Boat, Sag Harbor Hills: Whale, Ninevah Beah: 3 Birds. The communities are by the beach in Sag Harbor, NY so references to water, beach or the neighborhood map could be inspiration.
Should not have
- No references to Black History, or Africa. This is about the beachfront communities in NY.
