Logo Design Brief

I am starting a college advising business called Young College Advising, based out of Wisconsin. My clients are high school students and their families looking for support through the college search and application process, and everything in between. I love the idea of either a college pennant flag or a school seal. Everything I like focuses more on the "College Advising" part of the logo rather than "Young". I like anything in the denim blue to rust orange tones, ex: 70s retro scheme. I included an example, as well as the pennant look. I want something with an academic/collegiate/athletic feel, but friendly. I would like the final design to communicate my services are collaborative, academic, and goal oriented- but not stuffy or exclusive.
