Graphic Design Brief

We are giving out 35 beautiful, hand-crafted, one-of-a-kind awards to graduates of our three-year college-alternative program for authors.

We are working with a European company to create these custom awards, but need a custom background that is beautiful, dynamic, and matches our branding.

See attached images of existing versions of this award (both a large size and a small size).

We want something that matches the dynamic beauty and simplicity of these designs, but that incorporates imagery/patterns that better match our brand.

The dimensions of the background pattern is:

Large Size:
250 mm / 9.84 inches wide
200 mm / 7.87 inches tall

Small Size:
95 mm / 3.74 inches wide
220 mm / 8.66 inches tall

IMPORANT: The final design needs to be cut out of plexiglass, so it cannot be too intricate with details that are too fine/small (see attached images).

Again, we want something as beautiful and simple as the examples attached, but that better matches our brand.

Our logo includes a tree and a book, so anything related to trees, leaves, books, words, writing, etc. -- could work. I am not attaching our logo, because we don't necessarily want something drawn exactly from our logo.

The final design should communicate beauty and luxury and quality.

Requirements

Nice to have

• Actual mockups of what the final design would look like are appreciated. This is a very nice touch and helps us visualize the impact of your design as part of the entire award.

Should not have

• The design needs remain one single piece and not have many individual elements. As you can see in the inspiration image, the shapes are cut out of the golden plexiglass, but it is a single piece of plexiglass.
