Logo Design Brief

Hi, we would like a logo to be designed for a new legal tech product called 'Balance Sheet +' (by LEAP). We will need help with conceptualising and creating the logo, and brand identity of this product.

The logo must be in colours other than red on a white or silver background, or white or silver on a red background. We cannot use these colourings, as it is prohibited.

Although this is a product of LEAP Legal Software, we want it to have a separate identity from LEAP, and therefore look and feel different to LEAP. https://www.leap.com.au/

We want it to be engaging and modern, whilst also being professional.

More about the product:
The product will be available within LEAP Legal Software, which is a practice management system used by lawyers. This product is predominately developed for family lawyers , and will be available in family law matter types in LEAP.

It records all assets (incl addbacks), liabilities and financial resources in a family law matter, and has an adjustable tool whereby the ownership of those assets/liabilities can be tailored based on potential settlement outcomes.

It is a quick, easy and accurate way for family lawyers to trial and calculate a range of property outcomes, in addition to being an interactive app for both lawyers, and clients to collaborate on the one balance sheet.

We aim for Balance Sheet + to have the below features:
- It adds, subtracts, divides and calculates all relevant percentages
- It allows the assessment of contributions to up to 8 separate pools of assets and liabilities
- Use it to populate all court forms, including financial statements, balance sheets, case outlines and consent orders
- Populate it with data from financial statements and other court forms
- Share the sheet with the other party for them to complete their values and add their assets and liabilities
- Make notes as to why a dispute exist about the inclusion or value of an asset or liability and how that dispute might be resolved
- Attach valuations, market appraisals, bank statements and relevant documents to entries for particular assets or liabilities
- Duplicate the balance sheet to trial a range of settlement scenarios in the one matter

We want our product to stand out above FamilyProperty.

• Modern, and professional design. Engaging, but not "over the top" as this is an app for lawyers.

Nice to have

• Ties into LEAP Legal Software's logo, but at the same time we want Balance Sheet + to have it's own identity. The '+' in 'Balance Sheet +' could be raised slightly.

Should not have

• The logo must be in colours other than red on a white or silver background, or white or silver on a red background. We cannot use these colourings.
