Logo Design Brief

Salty Marine Charters, Inc. needs logo design for a Florida local fishing charter and other boating excursions company. Husband and wife team with Captain's licenses looking to attract beginner and intermediate audience of people who have never tried fishing or have some experience but love to fish. We do 30 mile offshore and inshore fishing. We also offer boating excursions to people just looking to soak up the sun and sand on private islands for fun, marriage proposals, small weddings, or anniversaries. We also offer dolphin site seeing and holiday charter events.
The design should hopefully incorporate the attached skeleton mermaid picture found on the internet. However, the concept of recreating the skeleton mermaid (if it’s not copyright protected) holding a compass with the fishing poles shown criss cross on the one picture is essentially the theme. We like deeper "wanderlust" colors you see on the one compass below but also like the ocean blue color scheme if easier and to keep it not too overwhelming. We would like the ‘N’ “S” “E” and “W” on the outside of the compass circle with the mermaid skeleton holding in her hand a nautical compass just as shown in one of the pictures below. However, I feel the compass the mermaid is holding should be bigger in her hand. Also, no on the neon colors in the last compass. My husband was experimenting.

We would need the logo to be able to implemented on shirts and hats with ease and other marketing items to sell for the business. We will also be painting it on the side of our boat and magnets for our truck. I wasn’t sure if you needed to know this for the type of files we may need to give to the marketing team makers so our logo remains constant.
