Logo Design Brief

I'm looking to take this old school 90's logo Penguins and turn them into larger than life cartoon characters to use on trucks, billboards and the the web as well as a scaled down version for shirts and hats. We are an HVAC company.
Needs:
-Logo version for general use. Start over. Does not have to resemble the existing in any way. Could be scaled down for smaller use and blown up for larger.
-Stand alone life size full body cartoon penguins that could be placed on the side of a van, billboard etc separate from the logo.
-One penguin represents hot and the other cold. This should be clear.
-Looking for the penguins to have personality and not be basic. Be able to have facial/eye expressions. Be fun and someday be animated. I want them to be recognizable with the brand. Be able to adapt them for all different uses.
