Logo Design Brief

We are a workout apparel and lifestyle brand; our owner "who is behind the scenes" is a Cuban-born baseball player(pitcher) in the US and a serious workout maniac, a bit of a bad boy image; I am looking to work with some existing ideas as boundaries; We don't want the RAT to be the only or main focus of the logo; more that the term is understood as a person who spends a lot of time in the gym; they are looking for comfortable, fashionable and serious workout apparel;I added a few previous designs;(ADDED CONTENT- THE CLIENT WOULD LIKE TO SEE AN UPDATE TO THE SKULL DESIGN I ADDED TO THE BRIEF no 1988 apparel you can add the tag line also an option with Cuban colours would be nice )
we are open to color interpretation;
