Logo Design Brief

I want to avoid pastel/bright colors. The logo should certainly not be busy, rather clean and simple. I desire color to be secondary, and for the logo to be able to stand strongly on its own in black/white applications. I generally tend to prefer simplicity, but also want the logo to be timeless. Legibility and scalability should be prioritized. I like Serif and Sans-Serif text.

Our tagline is “A romantic interlude”, which is a definition of “Idyll” and summarizes our company's mission/purpose. I'm ultimately going to need the logo with & without the tagline, for scalability. Consequently, the tagline should not be integral to the logo and the overall logo needs to work both with/without it.

I’m envisioning a logo that includes a silhouette of an oak tree and/or our farmhouse (pics of house/property are attached). The business consists of a small event and short term rental property, in a mountain setting. The home is a modern farmhouse and is surrounded by oak trees and mountains. We are appealing to couples for romantic getaways, micro weddings, rehearsal dinners, family gatherings, etc.

Also, I want to be able to utilize the symbol/image separately from the text (Idylloaks), for the favicon and other applications where the text is unnecessary. Consequently, the image should imply the full text, without using text. However, I’m not opposed to more abstract options - use your creativity! Logo should be simple but romantic and idyllic. I envision the image being located to the left of the text (side by side), or centered directly above the text (top/bottom).
