Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design that will go on business cards, the website, twitter profile picture, and overall brand image, for a company that's aiming to be a modern, vastly less expensive version of the Bloomberg Terminal.
Main use will be on desktop, and we help people investigate businesses finances so they can make smarter investments. We want to convey trust, reliability, security; less flashy colours and more stability and trust, but also a very modern feel as we are adding new features that existing financial data service companies don't have.
