Flyer Design Brief
We need an instruction sheet/brochure to accompany our product when it's shipped to our customers. The product is a glow-in-the-dark poster that can be drawn on with light pens. The brochure will be a small bi-fold (8.5 x 5.5" unfolded) that will be put in the shipping box and needs to contain: 1) instructions for mounting the poster, 2) creative ideas for playing, 3) warnings and age recommendation, and 4) contact information for our company.
We want the brochure to be simple but engaging, and colorful (using the color scheme of our shipping box, attached). We'd like you to include artwork that is reminiscent of how a kid would doodle on the poster using the light pen (think swirls, drawings of animals, shapes, etc). We have a shutterstock collection of doodles attached that can be used.
We created a mockup of how we want the content to be laid out on the brochure. For the usage instructions (with 4 steps), creating a simple cartoon diagram for each of the steps would be ideal. In the 'ideas for play' section, we would also like a cartoon example of each idea. For 'make a silhouette', the idea is that a child would put their hand to the poster and outline it with the light, then remove their hand, so the hand area is black and around the hand will be a greenish glow. We've attached images of the poster as well as the poster artwork for inspiration.
The blank *.ai files for the brochure are attached. There are four panels total (front and back, and two inside panels).
Thank you and we're really looking forward to seeing your design!
UPDATE 8/16: We have one additional copy element to include in the 'Setting up Glowscape' panel. The mockup file has been updated to show it ("Optional: For rough surfaces, use the included sticky dots at the poster corners"). For submissions that don't already include it, we will consider your submission as complete now and work with you after the contest to update the file to include this element.
