Logo Design Brief

I will need a logo for a professional development group for teachers of reading and writing in elementary school. This group will meet monthly to learn about literacy, best practices, and how to have successful classrooms. The logo should communicate unity, and learning (especially reading). Perhaps with the colors light blue and dark blue, with WNY LIT forming a circle and "Literacy Instructors Together " written inside the circle on a stack of books?
