Logo Design Brief

Our logo is dated. We like our name as the focus, we just wish it looked fresher. We like the black and white, but thinking a very dark blue may be cool too. Maybe just a dash of silver or gold somewhere. Maybe make one of the letters in Herzog unique so it is a bit more than just text? We just don't really know, but we do not want houses, roofs, keys etc. Attached is our current logo. It just feels dated.
