Logo Design Brief

I need a logo that prominently features the red eye of a loon. I'm hoping for a more abstract, geometric, or wireframe logo of a loon. It will be on a 24' Racing sailboat hull and potentially it's sails. I'm hoping for something that is recognizable as a loon from a distance, so simpler is better. Expanded Text is better than condensed. Logo should take up more horizontal space than vertical, as it will be applied along the side of the sailboat, as well as the back (transom)

Hopefully you can take inspiration from the Minnesota United Logo, The Minnesota Lottery Logo, or the Loon Mountain ski resort logo.
