This logo is for an annual event that raises money to fund a cure for Type 1 diabetes. Each year there's a gala held at the Ritz with a different theme. This year's is the Roaring 20's and we want to lean into the prohibition era. We hold the event in Florida which played a pivotal role in the the rum running business, so any tie to that would be neat.
The evening is "A Speaking Easy Soiree: Raising Spirits for a Cure."
If you choose to use the JDRF organization on the logo, it's a national logo that must be printed a certain way. The requirements are in documents attached.
We like gold, emerald, hint of black as the colors. I'm not sold on any one image but think whiskey bottles, champagne or cocktail glass and/or barrel all work well. I really like the martini glass that includes the art deco look inside the glass. Or a barrel spilling out into a glass, then creating the font for the slogan might work. Think phonographs, dancing, pearls, feathers, cars, gambling tables, anything that screams 20's is okay to use.
Some of the other phrases we often use but not necessarily for this night.
Turn Type 1 into Type None
Hope Gala is the official name of the event but we are not calling it that this year. We are trying to come up with a name for a Speakeasy. Like T1D Speakeasy.
