Logo Design Brief

Hi!
I need a logo for an online directory of event venues (as in, locations where people get married, host corporate events, parties, fundraisers, etc). The goal of the website is to attract venues to advertise with us, and for event planners to use the resource to help with their planning

The logo should likely hint at the fact that this is a map/directory. We're trying to help people find the perfect venue for them, both based on location, and based on search parameters (cost, size, facilities, theme, etc).

Probably looking for something clear and easy to understand.

And bonus points if you can figure out a way to use negative space (logos like Fedex or Dell computers) to do something creative. Not necessary, but I love those concepts.

Target Market(s)

We want to attract event planners and recently-engaged couples to the website. Predominantly, 30 y/o females
