Wanting something a bit dynamic and memorable, to make us stand out from the crowd. We are very experienced (over 20 years in our field) but have recently gone out on our own as a business and want to make a “splash”.
The green we use is more of a bright emerald/John Deere green against a dark navy.

We don’t have a slogan as such but do have a sense of humour and enjoy a play on words ie “no ifs just butts” because we are in the business or breeding and feeding stud beef cattle

Unfortunately we still have not found a logo that has hit our brief. So I have updated our brief and decided to post a message to you all with more information.

We Specialise in breeding, feeding, breaking in and preparing Santa Gertrudis and Shorthorn stud beef cattle for exhibition and sale.

Our name is WLS Fitting. We have over 20 years experience in what we do but, have recently just gone out working for ourselves instead of other people. We are looking for something dynamic, playful, yet professional and above all memorable.

We would like the “WLS” to stand out in a larger, dynamic, eye catching font. Then the word “Fitting” to be on a second line in a smaller more standardised font. Open to different shapes and styles BUT we want EYE CATCHING, UNIQUE and MEMORABLE!

We use the contrasting colours; dark navy and bright emerald green, on all our equipment, tack and show curtains (which hang above the cattle to display their individual information) to stand out from the competition. Although these are “our colours” - please give us your suggestions in terms of colouring with this logo. Would it be better to utilise the navy and bright green in the backgrounding etc of the promotional products, banners etc? As opposed to incorporating it into the actual logo? Ie using (singular colour) navy and/or emerald green polo shirts and caps to put the logo on, instead of making the logo navy and bright green.

We currently do not have a slogan but we want one! We like tongue-in-cheek humour and want something that relates to what we do. Something that as soon as you read it, you think “oh that’s cool” and it sticks in your mind. Something along the lines of “no if’s just butts” because we are in the business of breeding and feeding stud beef cattle.

Here are some slogans currently used by both breed societies, for inspiration and example;
* colour comes in profit (Shorthorn Society)
* enjoy a full bodied red (Santa Gertrudis Society)
* seven days without beef makes one weak (Santa Gertrudis Society)
The playfulness makes it stick in your mind and that is what we want!

We want our logo to be multipurpose for letterheads, email signatures, business cards and promotional products including caps, polo shirts, jumpers, stickers, etc.

I have just discovered that the “no if’s just butts” slogan is actually already being used by someone. It is being used by the Squaremeater cattle Australia Association!
So are now also needing another tongue-in-cheek slogan asap. Please help!
