Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new online marketing software called "JackKnife" on the www.jackknife.io domain. Logo should be based on a red swiss army knife, fairly simple, without too many gadgets or blades sticking out of it (1-4). The marketing SaaS software is an all-in-one system with email and SMS messaging, CRM and automations, website and funnel builder, survey builder, calendar booking system, sales pipeline, social media management, affiliate system and more. It's essentially a marketing multi-tool, just like a jackknife is. Final design should communicate strength and innovation. Jackknife's slogan is "Your All-In-One Marketing Multi-Tool".

The knife should be red and should be similar to a traditional swiss army knife. Draw inspiration from here: https://www.istockphoto.com/illustrations/multi-purpose-knife .

BUT do not include the Victorinox cross/shield combo on the knife handle as it is too close to that brand and we can’t use it for copyright infringement. Feel free to replace it with a marketing icon like a Google Maps Pin or a computer on/off button icon. Since the domain is jackknife.io, and i/o refers to input/output in computer speak, the on/off button might be preferable. Play around with it and see what looks best. Feel free to add other marketing icons if they fit somewhere and don't make it look too crowded (email envelopes, speech bubbles, etc... use your imagination and creativity here). Final knife design should also be able to be easily used and recognizable as a favicon.

Oh, I would not be opposed to having ".io" at the end of Jackknife to spell out the full domain name in the logo either. Would love to see this in some of the variations you submit, but if you choose to do this please make it in much smaller font than the main one so as not to detract from "Jackknife".

• 1) Perhaps make the knife as part of or all of one of the letters in "Jackknife". 2) Include the slogan in a variation 3) Having ".io" at the end of Jackknife to spell out the full domain name in the logo (Jackknife.io) would be nice to see in some of the variations you submit, but if you choose to do this please make the ".io" in much smaller font than the main one so as not to detract from "Jackknife".
