Logo Design Brief

I'm looking for a logo and design elements to add to a personal website. I'm a software developer, and I blog about technical concepts as well as family issues. I'm a veteran and have done a lot of work in the oilfield. I taught myself to code, and now I have my own business. So I'd like my logo to represent that. I've attached a few logos I've made myself with Canva but I'd really like something more classic.
