Logo Design Brief

We are an existing excavation company that has recently transitioned from mostly residential work to large commercial projects. We really like our current logo so we're not necessarily looking to completely change it but would like definitely like give it a more modern, industrial look. It also needs to be a little easier to apply to vehicles and apparel. The distressing and details on the current logo is a challenge for branding.
