Mascot Design Brief

Many famous brands use black stallions in their logos or as mascots, not counting the winged stallion, Pegasus. Generally, these are brands that, like LongD, are (Porsche, Ferrari, Norfolk Southern, & Continental AG) or were (Hermes) in the ground transportation industry, where horses are symbolic. Their depictions don’t present a facial representation. LongD Services, Inc. announces a contest to depict its corporate mascot, Lonnie The LongD Stallion who is a black stallion. You can meet Lonnie on our website at https://longdservices.com/about.html. The winning submissions will among other things, influence future plush design 3”, 1’, 3-4’ and 6’ stuffed animal depictions of Lonnie.

Contestants must depict both his face and full body anthropomorphically (a la Bugs Bunny, Tony The Tiger, Foghorn Leghorn or Mickey Mouse). I.e., he will stand upright on two horse-like feet and have human-like hands with fingers and an opposable thumb, white teeth, a tail and no visible genitalia. Full body depictions of Lonnie may include a t-shirt (either dark blue (#002060) or a yellow (#FFFF00)) with the phrase “Your LongD Stallion” that 3-dimensional plush (stuffed animal) depictions of him will often bear. Depictions may have shoes.

Target Market(s)

This corporate mascot design will influence the ultimate plush design that we will use for stuffed annimal versions of our mascot. The current plan is to give away stuffed animal mascots for bachelorette/girl's weekend parties.

Requirements

Must have

• An anthropomorphic black stallion, human-like hands with an opposable thumb.

Nice to have

• White teeth, tail, t-shirt (either dark blue (#002060) or a yellow (#FFFF00)) with the phrase “Your LongD Stallion” (see uploaded t-shirt design). It would be preferable if the head where in a proportion to the body that a human t-shirt could slip over the head and arms of the stuffed animal version rather than requiring that the t-shirt be a part of the stuffed animal design.

Should not have

• No visible genitalia. Especially no Ds.
