Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new company that conducts environmental science and permitting for multiple industries including Oil & Gas, Electric Transmission, Renewable Energy, Land Development, and Transportation. Most of our services are to help energy clients develop their projects to avoid impacts to natural (wetlands and threatened and endangered species) and cultural resources (archaeology and historic preservation) . The name of our company is Eclipse Environmental Science Group L.L.C and we will operate as Eclipse ESG. We have attached a couple of examples for logos. We like the star, or shine on the more simplistic black and white logo. We like the inset of the other eclipse but not the palm trees. We do wetland delineations so I would think we could replace the palm trees with cattails which I have attached a couple potential examples. If we added a star/shine to this one, we wonder if we could use a shape that is depicted around the collar of the football player. This would represent an arrowhead which ties in the archaeology work that we do. The arrowhead example is cool also and we could add an eclipse around it or in it with a shine/star. Although this is a fairly detailed logo that would be hard to embroider. Maybe this one could be simplified.
