Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for an existing company going through re-branding. We used to be called Guardian Financial. We are changing our name to G1 Commercial Mortgage. However, I would like some synergy between the old logo and the new one. However, I want the colors to be green and black. The shade of green is here: #426731. I would like both horizontal and vertical options seeing we use both styles currently. I would somehow like to communicate that we are a nationwide company through the design. However, I don't want the nationwide message to be prominent.
