Logo Design Brief

We have an existing logo that we want use as a starting point for the new one - hoping to get a modernized version of the previous logo.
Would also love to have a 'badge' version of the logo. Something that we can put on our smaller materials that isn't the full logo but still shows our branding.
We would like to stay with a similar color scheme as well.
We would like our logo to communicate our, clean, professional, highly competent work. Also to communicate our focus on higher end construction projects.
