Logo Design Brief

I need a logo designed for a lifestyle brand by the name of GALT

GALT will be selling a a unique group of products to a small number of people. These items will be anything from liquor, to watches, to cars, to pocket knives etc. Another example of this idea would the Ferrari brand.
GALT comes from the book Atlas Shrugged.

Attached are photos for inspiration.
We would like it to be sophisticated, include the $ sign, possibly the globe or the world.
