Logo Design Brief

I am starting a Finance Broker business, at this stage I am the sole operator, it is based in Melbourne, Australia. I have 30 years experience in the finance industry, so maybe this could be tied in? I have seen a logo where the 'v' in Jarvis is a tick (attached). I was thinking a dark green font with the 'v' tick in a light green maybe? I will be providing Commercial and Consumer finance. Or some may call it Business and Personal finance.
