Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for a new magazine focused on people working in the trades (electricians, HVAC, plumbing, construction workers, etc). This magazine will focus on highlighting industry news, stories on businesses operating in the trades, and information for individuals exploring a career in the trades. I have attached our company's logo, and am looking for a simple logo. I am open to work marks, or a graphic and word mark. There needs to be a main logo using "Trades Magazine", and then a sub-head/sub-text area below it for "Electrical Edition". In the future we will be changing the sub text area for different topics/editions. The final design should be clean, eye-catching, and easy to read.
