Book Cover Design Brief

I need a book cover for an action series. Two books are already on sale, but the covers have been rejected by some online booksellers for having a shirtless man on the cover.

The Amazon pages give descriptions of the book. I'm taking bids on modification of the first book, but the intention would be to use the same designer for the series.

Timeline for delivery is ideally end of Q1 22 for cover

My goal for the coves is for the reader to see some kind of "hook" that makes them intrigued enough to click the link. The cover will need to convey the genre of the book (action thriller) and give the potential buyer a reason to click for more information. Some online booksellers only show cover and title, so the cover needs to sell the book.

The actual gender split in the mystery-thriller field has faded, and the cover shouldn't just appeal to men although the gender spilt is still 60-40 towards male readership.

In the initial design, I was attempting to use country/continental outlines to convey as sense of "International Thriller", as the main character is an ex-French Foreign Legionnaire.

I would like to prioritize these elements:
Title
Series Name & Number

The author name doesn't need to be prominent or even on the front cover. Back cover copy is available, on the Amazon description, but I can resend as text.

Target Market(s)
