Logo Design Brief

We need a logo for our sustainable, renewable energy law firm that is based in SF Bay Area. Mission = We tackle sustainability, energy, and climate challenges facing our clients with a team of attorneys passionate about what they do and how their practice integrates into their lives.

Target Market(s)

Corporations. Targets fall into the following categories: 1) Operating companies and institutions that need to address climate risks/carbon footprint/sustainability. Google, Facebook, Kaiser, University of California, etc. have all announced institutional policies regarding climate change and will need to enter into contracts to implement those policies. This is the primary target. 2) Developers of projects (primarily renewable energy). These are the companies that build, own and/or operate projects. Currently these are focused on renewable energy projects like solar, wind, renewable natural gas and energy storage. These entities need to enter into a variety contract to build their projects. The include land rights, fuel supply, interconnection agreements, agreements to sell their electricity or renewable natural gas. Right now, these projects are energy projects, but in the future this will expand into other types of projects like carbon offsets, water treatment and recycling. These are high priority targets. 3) Acquisition Companies. Holding companies acquire developers (above) and require someone to help with reviewing contracts related to those acquisitions and often need ongoing representation concerning managing the projects they acquire. These are on the list be a low priority.

Requirements

Must have

• Focus on "edginess" rather than climate or law. On color pallet think Vincent van Gogh cafe at night.

Nice to have

• The concept I feel when I see this image (see attached) of the truck and the big storm cloud above is the truck heading for clear skies as it tries to outrun the storm . It feels hopeful and active. There are other examples of Logos that resonate with me attached to this brief.

Should not have

• Do not make it too literal & simplistic with images of things like Sun, Wind and Water etc that typically are associated with renewable and sustainable energy.
