Logo Design Brief

Hey. I just started a construction company in Vermont. All the other general contractors up here have very generic logos that too basic. I'm looking for something that is slick, relatively simple, bold, smart and creative. Ideally I'd love to have it professionally painted on my black truck. I was thinking a black and gold theme, but I am open to other colors and extra colors that would work well with a black background. Vermont is the green mountain state, maybe the "M" could be snow covered mountain caps. Maybe the M could be the ridge line of a roof somehow?Just throwing out ideas. It would be cool to get the J to look like something. Or both?as long as it's clear to read. Residential construction is my specialty. 'Committed to quality' is something I strive for, but isn't necessarily my company motto or anything.
