Logo Design Brief

I am working to design a new logo for use in a website. Below is what I did on my own with the client but it's still not right and I also need a favicon. This is for a non-profit and some key ideas we would like to express are eco-friendly / sustainable development, accessibility for people with disabilities and affordable housing. The roofline is suggestive of the design of the multi-unit building design they use.
