Logo Design Brief

Based in Dunedin, New Zealand, Tuapeka is the largest supplier of branded promotional products in Australasia. We have over 30 years of experience in global product sourcing, mass customization technologies, & fast response supply chains. We are a market leader, renowned for fast, flexible, and friendly services, and are undergoing an intensive brand refresh to better reflect the company we are today.
We are looking for a new logo to represent our growth over the past 30 years which retains our company’s strong history.

Our new look
Our new logo needs to represent Tuapeka as: innovative, friendly, professional, high quality, trustworthy, responsible, passionate, industry leader, agile, transparent, sophisticated, humble, and creative.
We are looking for a bold logo that is strong in any environment, that can become iconic within our company and out in our community.

Company History
In 1987, the company was founded by Jim Robertson in Lawrence, a small town in the Tuapeka district in New Zealand’s South Island. Jim started printing business cards in his kitchen with a foil stamping machine and built up a strong customer base, despite only able to print with gold foil.
He quickly saw a niche for branded pens and other promotional merchandise in New Zealand, Jim introduced Brad Houghton into the business as an equal business partner in 2007, Brad took on the role of Managing Director and set about the task of turning large dreams into reality. The company grew to meet ever-increasing demand, outgrowing the small town of Lawrence in 2014 and relocating to a larger premise in Dunedin. Since then, the company has experienced exponential growth but is still known in Australia and New Zealand as a family-run company with humble beginnings.
