Logo Design Brief

Spine and joint mechanics and rehab exercise are all part of teaching our patients how to take care of themselves. We are saving the world, one spine at a time and making the world a better place by reducing the number of people in pain, and increasing the amount of energy those people have available for kindness. "When your spine is aligned, your mind is free to be kind" goes along with my web URL MySpineIsAligned.com. These are not critical to work into the logo image, but I am open to ideas.
I work on all joints not just the spine, but I don't really know how to incorporate that into a logo or tag lines. We have been playing with some other ideas/tag lines of "Every Joint Counts-My Spine Is Aligned" since all your joints have to work together to make your spine and body function. But I don't have a logo or more thoughts than that put together.
I like the color green, mainly because I am Dr. Green, but am open to a flow of colors that give a health vibe.
I help all spines, but my largest demographic is a female patient, ages 26-60 and moderately active and educated.
For the logo, I don't dislike my current logo, but it needs modernizing at a minimum. The font, I don't care for. I don't like the color usage-the black and white outlining and green-some say the spine looks like an alien eye. I have seen logos with more "artistic" spines, but they are not mechanically accurate-the spine in my logo has the correct curves-THIS IS IMPORTANT, since this is my business. I will not use a pretty spine that is mechanically incorrect in my logo.
One options I have toyed with is an outline of a person sitting from behind with arms raised up, above his/her head and holding the world (or it floating). I have a picture of me with a ball as a visual aide. This is just my loose vision. I need your help. (I am not sold on this idea)
I can't decide if a spine should be visible inside the back of this person or not, hence the need for some design options. I don't know if it should look more like a picture or a drawing, or a CG image, but I gave some image examples of CG images showing the spine inside the body.
I have included my current logo(which I would like to see updated/improved as one of the options) and a pic of me from behind with a ball (that should represent the world) and this is just to give a visual. I am also open to other ideas.
Thanks for your creativity! I need a logo for cards, website and letterhead, so keeping that in mind with the design-what is functional for those needs.
