Logo Design Brief

We need a logo design for a new clothing brand called "c'était bien" which is French and would translate to English as: it was good. The brand name refers to the good old days in the 70s and 80s when times were way less worry some. People didn't worry about climate change or the future of the planet at all. And c'était bien wants to contribute getting us back on the right path by creating 100% sustainable, fair trade clothing.
We're looking for a simple elegant logo that can also be put/look good on polo shirts on the left chest, like you see on polo shirts by Ralph Lauren, Tommy Hilfiger, Gant, etc. The brand is based in the Netherlands and all the clothing and fabrics are made here as well. The emblem of the Netherlands is a lion so you could make something along those lines, but make it look minimalistic/not too detailed. If you feel like something else represents the brand ideology better then please don't hesitate to put in ideas of your own. A clever play of the letters C and B could also work very well for example.
