Web Design Brief
We want to redesign our website header and also change the menu to a mobile-first menu for both desktop and mobile views. We also want to see the minicart in a mobile view. Currently in desktop view, the cart icon at ringsend.com opens a popup minicart, but in mobile, you are taken to a separate page.
The current design is viewable on our live site at https://www.ringsend.com
We want the new header to be more compact and concise, and the menu to be mobile-first even on the desktop view. An example of the menu style we're thinking of can be found at https://www.hardwarestore.com. Notice how it remains a mobile-first menu even when viewed on a large screen. It also looks good on a mobile screen.
Here are some guiding principles for the redesigned header: https://ringsend.atlassian.net/wiki/external/1644920833/ZmRjYWVlNzIxNzg2NGRmZjkxODNlYjFmMWM4YzJlMGE?atlOrigin=eyJpIjoiMjg0OTZjMmNiMGNhNDMzMmExYzk3Yzg0MTYwMGFjN2EiLCJwIjoiYyJ9
Project requirements:
- New designs/mockups for the ringsend.com header, main menu and minicart based on the guiding principles document referenced above. These should show the desktop and mobile views.
- Working code for the new designs - ideally this will mesh with existing stylesheets and not cause conflicts
- Code should not add too much additional file size, so please avoid using frameworks like Bootstrap that could bloat the size.
Updates
I started editing the project but didn't finish, and only posted the project today. Please extend the deadline to what it would have been if I started today
