Logo Design Brief

Need a logo design for a guys golf weekend that takes place once a year. We have gone through a few logos in our 8 years of doing this, but need something that will stand the test of time. It's truly just a buddies trip that has generally taken place in the northwoods of Minnesota. The event is called "The Waterbury", named after the fictional golf tournament in Happy Gilmore.

The logo should say Waterbury, or The Waterbury. Think of elements of the northwoods but mixed with a fun vibe, but not too "country club" esque. It does not necessarily need to incorporate any "golf" elements. This logo would ultimately be embroidered on golf shirts, cups, etc so it should be somewhat simple, and not too busy. It’s branding a golf event but also a feeling.
