Logo Design Brief
Cabana is a quirky shop selling unique homewares, lighting, gifts, furniture from around the world. We are a new company 2 years old but need to update our logo as the current one looks like the Covid symbol ! Image attached. The Cabana colours are teal and gold. The current font used ‘C’ = empathy ( be careful asi understand their are 2 empathy C, please see images ‘abana’ = Helvetica Neue. This is displayed on the outside of the shop so has to be same style font. See current images attached.
We are needing a logo for the following : bags / compliment slips / signage for our delivery van / website / Facebook / swing sign hanging outside the shop. We would like something classy, unique and representative of home interiors and a suggestion of coming from all over the world if possible but not essential. We are open to suggestions. Many of the products are unique, some handmade and with textures. We sell a lot of elephant items, sculptures, ornaments.
Our website is www.cabanainteriors.co.uk to get a feel of our products. We are often described as the ooh aaahhh shop and as an Aladdin’s cave of treasures.
Updates
I have been underwhelmed by creativity from the first round and disappointed by only a few designers had read my brief. Hence there were not many options and not quite right.
My favourite design 26670606 because it is unique, clever and original, ( not Sue by the leaf design if it can be interpreted as a spear) followed by 26665884 for its simplicity.
The designs must include the font for ‘C’ capital C empathy ( please note it is not the curly C in italic) - please see images in brief for correct C, ‘abana’ is Hevetica Neue.
Design 26668169 was ok, but the look a bit dated and the furniture icons chosen not inspiring. They can be simple icons but less heavy looking.. However loved the way he portrayed the gold. The design was not inspiring. We have a very inspiring shop.
I was not keen on designs that looked corporate like 26654835 and 26657139.
I would like an image of some kind to run to the side or above or below the logo that can be interchanged ( positioned above or to the side) something original, creative and unique to us.

Requirements
Must have
- The Cabana font must be kept as is currently on outside of shop. Interiors with a difference can be in any font. Cabana colours are teal/ turquoise and gold. It would be good to include slogan. It would be good to see logo on teal background as well as white background.
Nice to have
- Perhaps a suggestion of a hut / cabin ? Or something simple that symbolises furniture for the home, perhaps something to suggest from around the world ? I don’t know if one can suggest unique ? I am after something original, tasteful. Open to suggestions.
Should not have
- The look must not be too busy or fussy. No more than 3 colours.
