Logo Design Brief

We are looking for a fresh design for our start up. We help small accommodation in rural Japan to reach the world through social media.

It's a little like a very niche version of Booking.com or TripAdvisor, combined with social media marketing. We like green mostly, but also black, white and perhaps a splash of bright orange! Actually, the colour is best left to the designer we believe, but green somewhere would definitely be great.

Our business is essentially a tech business, but the 'sustainability' aspect is important to our message. We like to think we are: simple, trustworthy, but a little cool :-)

We don't want geisha, samurai, Mt. Fuji, or bamboo. Nothing gimmicky, really.

For reference: Tatami is a style of flooring used in Japan and made with a certain type of grass. It's not necessary to have any aspect of tatami in the logo, unless you feel it works.

We've uploaded a photo of the type of accommodation we work with, with tatami flooring, to give a visual idea of what we 'represent'.

Also, we would love to have the colour codes used!

• I must say I quite like the DesignCrowd logo with abstract image - one colour word - second colour word. But not essential, of course.

Should not have

• We don't want geisha, samurai, Mt. Fuji, or bamboo. Nothing gimmicky, really.
