Graphic Design Brief

I want to have a design done for my new boat name: "Different Direction"
Within in the logo the 2-D's on each word "must stand out" significantly from the rest of the letters and design. My original thoughts were to have Different Direction on top of one another. Or maybe have direction underneath different and spelled backwards and/or upside down but totally up to you. It maybe too hard to read just backwards now that I think about it unless it is a mirror image. Maybe make it a 90 degree word crossing using the second common letter "i" and/or make that the compass with, up to you. I would love to have some nautical theme worked into the logo/design. My thoughts were maybe a tilted compass that plays into different direction. Fish, boat anchors, nautical ropes, etc..., just a few thoughts to get the ideas flowing. The boat is a 2009 World Cat 29' DC if you want to google it. I have enclosed an image of the boat and previous logo/name but do not let it steer you. Skys the limit!
