Logo Design Brief

Design a logo we can use for a new special program within our sports organization. The sport we play is Ringette, and the logo is for a special training program for a select group of athletes.
Team colors are RED AND BLACK, and need to be the main colors of the logo.
The design NEEDS to include a blue circle as you see in the example below which is the parent organizations logo. The blue circle represents a ringette ring, and is key to identifying the new team logo as specific to ringette.
If possible, try and incorporate elements from the existing logo of the organization in the new logo. Such as the Red Maple Leaf (for Canada.)
FYI - Ringette is similar to ice hockey, instead its played with a blue ring and played mostly by women.

Target Market(s)

Use on team wear mostly - most importantly it will be used as crest on practice jersey.

Requirements

Must have

• Blue ring someplace in the design - see attached logo as example.
  Red and Black are team colors.
  Possibly use "Peak" as a theme...mountain top? Etc?

Nice to have

• A red maple leaf - or something else to identify as Canadian.
  For text, try and use the same font as the attached existing logo.
  This logo and the new one will be used together quite often.
