Book Cover Design Brief

Mystical sci-fi book cover, 500 years in the future on Earth. Mother Nature in her winter home, Grey Wolf - a galactic shaman, Melinda redheaded archeologist, 18ish, on her own journey of self-discovery. TOAD - a sassy flat-headed robot, Peter - bad boy gone good geologist, and Violet Fish - Melinda's spirit guide. Winter colors with accents of violet, gold, blue. Rebellious Elementals who want to take her throne.

Here is a description in the book to offer an idea for the cover:

Brilliant crystals and stalactites graced the cathedral of Mother Nature’s winter home. Veins of gold shimmered and pulsated with life as the fire reflected off silver, gold, crystals and granite. Soaring rose quartz and amethyst columns supported climbing winter berry trees and vines as they made their way up to reach the high, vaulted ceilings. The floor was an intricate mosaic of gemstone-encrusted marble and moss around a warm spring pool.

The cave roof shone with mini-galaxies and nebulas compressed to fit inside Mother’s home. Inside or outside, she could watch the evening sky.

...Cape of Knowing around her shoulders. Gold mesh shoulder panels were trimmed with diamonds and precious stones, the rest of the cape was made of the finest white silk cut into panels which were decorated in creation stories. The panels floated with life when she walked. The cape was a creation artifact, more precious than anything found on the planet. Mother was the keeper of the cape, a source of her power. The last panel was blank, holding space for a future yet unwritten.

The diamonds, emeralds, rubies, sapphires, pearls and all the precious stones were electric on her shoulders. The silk cape billowed around her. Her icicle dress shimmered with the brilliance of the Northern Lights.

The rogue Elementals wanted that cape for themselves.

• Violet Fish, Melinda's spirit guide, can be shown as a woman with a cape or cosmic outfit that reflects a violet beta fish inspiration. She is an assistant to Mother Nature. In one corner of the cover, show the elementals reaching out to capture Mother Nature and steal the Cape of Creation.
