Logo Design Brief

I am looking to get a logo for my startup business. It is woodworking/CNC and Plan on building quite a few items, but mainly needs to be something I could incorporate in a variety of ways. my business is called 'Skald Wood Group', but will mainly focus on 'Skald'. I plan on building guitars and would need the logo for the headstock (engraveable). So, minimalist in design essentially. My original thoughts were to have a unique shaped 'S' on a Runestone (think viking). Could also do a silhouette style image for the runestone and lettering (this may look nice actually).

Must have

• the name Skald with unique text design

Nice to have

• general idea was a Runestone with an 'S' in it following the remaining letters of 'kald'. General colors associated with vikings. Grey, Silver, Walnut Brown, Brass, Copper Tan. Blend of woodworking and the name skald, which is scandinavian poet

Should not have

• basic lettering, over complicated design which i cant carve onto wood
